Pubblicato ieri (15 dicembre) in Inghilterra uno speciale numero di Uncut intitolato “The 500 greatest albums of all time… ranked”, che raggruppa – come suggerisce il titolo – i cinquecento migliori album di tutti i tempi.

Al primo posto (come suggerisce anche l’immagine di copertina della rivista) i Beatles con “Revolver“. La band di Lennon-McCartney è anche quarta con il “White Album“, 20esima con “Abbey Road“, 34esima con “Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band“, 46esima con “Rubber Soul“, 208esima con “A Hard Day’s Night” e 496esima con “Let It Be“.

Soltanto due gli album dei Pink Floyd presenti nella classifica: “The Piper At The Gates Of Dawn” è al posto numero 128, mentre “The Dark Side Of The Moon” è al 411.
